Big Show Versus Chris Jericho at Mania

I know many of you are hoping and wishing for an Edge versus Chris Jericho match at WrestleMania and to be honest, so am I. Two Canadians who are very skilled to Main Event the biggest stage of them all is a dream come true. Isn't it about time to see Jericho in a marquee match, given that pound for pound, many consider him the best in the business today?

However, when I watched Raw last night, I couldn't help put be overcome with a thought. See, as many of you all know, Big Show and Miz, known as ShowMiz (catchy, isn't it?) won the Tag Team Titles from DX and Punk/Luke last night. And after they won the match, Show cut a pretty decent promo on Jericho, basically talking down to him, saying Miz considers him an equal, and they did what JeriShow couldn't, defeat DX.

A thought came to me at that moment: Show versus Jericho. They've already got a great story going along and they were the best tag team of the past year. Jericho has always talked down to Show and put him down, basically just using him for his size. Show had enough, tossed Jericho aside after they lost, and found someone better and much younger than Jericho. I mean, many consider Miz to be the next Jericho cause of Miz's superior mic skills.

Edge, though they could build a decent storyline, well, why make him a face? There's no need to do that. Before he came down with an injury, he was the top heel on Smackdown. He's the Rated R Superstar for crying out loud. Don't change him to the Rated PG Superstar just for the kids and to be a face. There were talks during the time Edge was feuding with Taker to have Edge break Taker's streak, so why not let that happen this year? There is no need to put the title on Jericho for a month and then to have him lose to Edge at Mania.

Another thing they can do is have Jericho feud with Miz. Both are outspoken and have had quite the twitter battle if you recall. The promos against one another would be fantastic and they could fight over being Show's partner. The story is all there just waiting to be told and to see who the better wrestler is.

However, that seems unlikely, though Jericho can always grab a partner and we can finally have a World Tag Team Title match on the Mania PPV. I'm just saying there is so much that can be done with this that an Edge versus Jericho match seems unlikely now. I'm a bit disappointed, as I would love to see this match happen, but hey, storyline wise, this is gold. There is no question about how good this buildup can be. The match might not be a five star classic, especially if we have Jericho vs Show, but it will be entertaining and have the right build to put everyone over.
