Robbie Keane Tells the Fans What They Want to Hear... Again
When Robbie Keane signed on loan for Celtic on transfer deadline day last week we should have predicted the blurb the Tottenham striker would reel out.
The 29-year-old Dublin-born striker, who opened his Celtic account from their penalty spot in their 4-2 Scottish Cup win on Sunday, was welcomed by hoards of adoring Hoops fans and said: "The club is massive. I am a Celtic fan and did not have to ask much about it. I always wanted to play for Celtic and it works for all parties."
Not too strange you might say - a new player endearing himself to his new fans and wholly predictable when you consider his comments when 'Liverpool fan' Keane signed for the Reds in July 2008.

"I've been waiting for this day since I was a kid. I'm a massive fan, so to be sitting here in a Liverpool tracksuit is a dream come true.
"I am so grateful just to be here. I love the club and this is the one dream I had still to achieve," said Keane.
So it appears the Republic of Ireland international is a boyhood Celtic fan and lifelong Liverpool fan as well. Did he really think the footballing public would fall for that one?
It seems so, but will he be a huge Spurs fan and desperate to return to White Hart Lane at the end of the season?
One thing is for sure though, his arrival in Glasgow should boost Celtic's Scottish cup chances, even if the league is now beyond them.
Meanwhile, in horse racing news, pundits are awaiting the publication of the weights for this year's Grand National.
