Tiger Woods In Match Play? Stevie Williams Says "No"

Tom EdringtonSenior Writer IFebruary 8, 2010

Tiger Woods teeing it up next week at the Accenture?

Don't bet on it and Steve Williams says it isn't so.

"The stories stating Tiger will return to the match play have no truth to them," Williams told the Australian paper the Sydney Morning Herald.

Makes perfect sense.

Has Tiger been practicing on us?

Tiger has checked out of sex rehab and supposedly return to Isleworth with wife Elin and is probably celebrating son Charley's birthday today. He's a year old.

Makes little sense for Woods to return rusty to a match play event. Lose early and you don't even get four days work.

The Tour arrives at Pebble Beach this week for the AT&T Pro-Am where the players will endure amateur partners and long rounds but will get an early season look at the venue for the U.S. Open in June.
