Saints vs Colts: Super Bowl XLIV May Be First of Many Meetings Between Teams
Super Bowl XLIV participants the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts are two teams that have solid foundations in place and this match-up could be the first of many in this new decade.
One of these two teams may be the team of this current decade in ten years from now.
The Colts have quarterback Peyton Manning, who will be 34 in March, and easily will be playing for at least another four to six years since Brett Fare has proved that a 40-year old quarterback can continue to play at the highest level.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Manning may be no different and the guy could probably play until he is 45-years old.
Getting back to the point, Manning stills has several years left until he hang up the cleats, but the Colts font office has been one of the best for years now and their ability to build through the NFL Draft has been one of the best in the NFL.
Their unwavering ability to stick with that plan has produced winning seasons of at least 10 or more wins in the last 10 of 11 seasons.
The Colts love to keep their players and coaches in house and promote from within, whether it's a backup player moving into a starting role or an assistant coach moving into a head coaching role.
Why more teams don't copy the blueprint of the Colts is amazing, but if they are able to win Super Bowl XLIV, then more teams might start to take notice because the Colts plan will carry them to many more 10-plus win season in the coming years.
On the opposite side there is the Saints, and their power pairing of head coach Sean Payton and general manger Mickey Loomis who came together after the Katrina tragedy in 2006.
Both Payton and Loomis have drafted wisely since they came together, but they have also been able to sign free agents who were not only cost effective, but able to produce throughout the season too.
Another great blueprint for running a successful franchise and the Saints will easily be a contender for years to come, since they not only have a ridiculous amount of talent at all of their skill positions, but they have the ability to now draft for depth.
Since they can now draft for depth, those players will eventually get their chance to step in and produce, but they will also get much needed mentoring while they play behind all the other talented starters on the roster.
But the Saints will have many decisions to make after the Super Bowl since 29 or their 53 players will be a free agent including: running backs Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell, wide receiver Lance Moore, offensive tackle Jermain Bushrod, offensive guard Jahri Evans, defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove and safety Roman Harper to name a few.
It is a very scary future to see both the Colts and Saints now as the front runner powerhouses since they are in the first Super Bowl of the new decade.
With both teams having very similar offenses there will be many more high scoring battles between these two that will be for some very entertaining football.
All the other teams that have struggled over the last decade take note, because these two teams will be sitting on the tops of their respective divisions and conference for quite a while.
