NBA Draft Links (2/4) So will it be Wall or Cousins?
Kentucky freshman, no the other one, DeMarcus Cousins, is shooting up NBA Draft boards. His average over 16 points per game and near 10 rebounds per game have many Scouts giving Cousins a fresh look at positioning. (Kentucky Kernel) Johnathan Givony of Draft Express says to not get carries away, Cousins is unlikely to surpass John wall for the No. 1 spot.
"Despite growing sentiment that freshman forward DeMarcus Cousins is moving his way up NBA Draft boards, DraftExpress President Jonathan Givony said he doesn’t believe there’s any chance Cousins will overcome Wall for the top spot.
“There are a lot of bad teams in the NBA and there are reasons why they’re drafting there,” Givony said. “But I would be shocked if he was number one.”

If Rich Bozich were picking first, he would take Cousins. (Courier-Journal)
"I’m taking a guy who weighs 260 pounds but clears room around the basket as if he’s 360 — and runs like he’s 160. Some guys are powerful. Others are agile. Not many merge those two qualities quite like Cousins.
I’m taking a guy who has grown so comfortable with the concept of providing double-figure points and rebounds that he’s a threat to deliver his double-double by halftime.
I’m taking a guy who is 6feet11 and plays like he’s 6-11 instead of like somebody auditioning for a second career at point guard.
I’m taking Cousins first — and I’m not doing it to diminish Wall. He’s a marvelous point guard, certain to be playing that position in the NBA for seven figures next season.
"
If Cousins continues to dominate as he has recently, this debate could get real interesting.
