San Francisco 49ers 2010 Seven-Round Mock Draft
Here are my predictions for where the 49ers will go with all 8 of their 2010 draft picks:
Pick No. 1—No. 13 overall: Brian Bulaga—OT (Iowa)
Bulaga is a former tight end and has good agility at the tackle position. This would give him the ability to play on either side which would be important to the 49ers after losing Joe Staley last year and having no one to replace him at left tackle.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Pick No. 2—No. 17 overall: Mike Iupati —OG (Idaho)
I would not be surprised to see the 49ers grab up another offensive lineman at this spot. Iupati could fill the left guard spot if David Baas leaves or take over for Chilo Rachal at right guard. He also has the ability to move to tackle in case of injury. With these first two picks San Fransisco will have a young and much improved line.
Pick No. 3—No. 49 overall: Javier Arenas—CB (Alabama)
Arenas will serve two purposes on the team. One, he can return kicks and punts and two, he will add depth to a secondary that is in dire need of it.
Pick No. 4—No. 79 overall: Jordan Shipley—WR (Texas)
Shipley seems to be moving up the draft boards some so he may not be available but if he is he would be a great grab in the third round. A WR corp of Shipley, Michael Crabtree, and Josh Morgan combined with Vernon Davis at TE would be formidable. He also has experience returning kicks and this team is going to need more than one KR. If he is gone they may look at Dexter McCluster as a backup RB/KR.
Pick No. 5—No. 110 overall: Dan LeFevour—QB (Central Michigan)
This would not be a popular pick with a lot of the fans but it could be a necessary one. If Alex Smith struggles this year he is done and while a lot of people like Nate Davis' potential you can't put all of your hope in him considering his learning disability. Plus, with Alex Smith's injury history you will definitely need a 3rd QB on the roster.
Pick No. 6—No. 141 overall: Myron Rolle—S (Florida St)
In addition to adding a CB the 49ers also need another safety on the roster. Myron Rolle is smart (Rhodes Scholar) and has good bloodlines (cousin of Samari Rolle) which are both things to like when looking for an NFL prospect.
Pick No. 7—No. 172 overall: Clifton Geathers—DE (South Carolina)
Geathers is a guy with a lot of potentially physically and would be low risk/high reward guy. He has had some issues in the past but does, like Myron Rolle, have good DNA (his brother, father, and uncle have all played in the NFL). He has the ability to get to the QB which is needed on this team.
Pick No. 8—No. 208 overall: Stafon Johnson—RB (USC)
He may not be around with this pick but if he is the Niners should grab him. Joe McKnight got all the publicity at USC but Johnson was the workhorse before his injury. He would make a great short yardage/backup running back.
