The fight was verbally agreed to on Friday. Contracts were issued to both Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley. Mosley signed it immediately.

Five days later, despite continued promises from the Mayweather camp, Golden Boy Promotions has still not received a signature from Floyd.

And Richard Schaefer, Golden Boy's CEO, is starting to get worried.

When asked on Tuesday by ESPN's Dan Rafael whether he thought the fight might be in trouble, Schaefer replied, "Yes."

Schaefer has run into this issue with Mayweather before, having negotiated the rematch between Floyd and Oscar De la Hoya in 2008. Terms had been reached. The fight was ready to be announced. And Mayweather decided to retire before signing the contract.

Schaefer went on to say, "I always tell you, a signed deal is a done deal. It will only be done when Floyd signs, and that hasn't happened yet. I don't know of any deal terms that are not agreed to. I don't understand it."

Schaefer stated that he has been continually asking Leonard Ellerbe and Al Haymon, both Mayweather advisors, when the signed contract is coming. And according to Schaefer, their response is always the same:

"Every day it's the next day. They say, 'Don't worry, it's going to come.' Well, where is it?"

Judd Bursten, Mosley's attorney, chimed in: "It's either one of two things that has happened. Either he's rethought the wisdom of risking his undefeated record against Shane or he chooses to act like a 7-year-old. Hopefully it's the latter and he will mature very quickly.

"He's going to end up in a fight with Mosley. The only question is whether it will be in the ring or in court."
