Bobby Cremins and Jim Larranaga go way back

An interesting side story you will hear the announcers on ESPN2 gushing over on February 20 involves the relationship of the two head coaches heading into this year's bracketbuster game for the Patriots. Andy Katz said yesterday it gives the match-up some "national pop". Quote from the Cougars head coach Bobby Cremins yesterday:

""They have a great program year in and year out," said Head Coach Bobby Cremins. "It'll be an honor to go up there and play. Jim [Larranaga] and I go way back. We are both from the Bronx and played basketball in the Catholic School League. We both used to play tennis together on summer recruiting trips.""
