Toronto Raptors Are Looking To Make A Deal, According To GM Bryan Colangelo
The Toronto Raptors are looking for the missing player that can vault them into contention in this year's playoffs.
On Toronto radio, The Fan 590, Toronto Raptors' GM Bryan Colangelo gave a quick interview to outline his team's plans as they approach the trade deadline.
- The Raptors are not planning to trade Chris Bosh.
- The Raptors consider themselves to be buyers at the trade deadline.
- Bryan Colangelo believes the Raptors are just one key player away from competing with Boston, Orlando, Cleveland, and Atlanta.
- The team will be patient and they are looking for the right deal to help their team.
- If the right deal can be found, the Raptors will do it.
- The Raptors will not avoid a deal solely because of luxury tax concerns.
The interview was very short and to the point. And Bryan Colangelo did not commit to any course of action other than to say the Raptors' goal is to get better now if they can.
As has been noted before, Bryan Colangelo is a deal maker. He has never let the opportunity to make a good deal pass him by!
It's time to re-read some of that Raptors trade speculation! Such as, Will the the Raptors trade Jose Calderon? What about Reggie Evans? Has Antoine Wright become too valuable to trade now that he's out of the doghouse ?
It is going to be a fun couple of weeks!
