ROYAL RUMBLE PROVES TO BE THE FINAL NAIL IN THE COFFIN

Joel DanielsFeb 1, 2010

Before I get started, yes, I know this is all kayfabe. And yes, I am a HUGE Ortonite so some bias might be in here somewhere. And YES this is all my opinion. Don't like? Don't read.

Now. Royal Rumble 2010 passed by yesterday and I'm going to assume that many of you watched it. Or read about it.

I watched it alright, but focused on RKO's match.

Rko lost his match due to a disqualification. I was actually surprised (and pissed beyond belief) that he lost via a DQ. Isn't that normally the other way around? And doesn't that usually happen to the GOOD GUY????? But anyways, he lost. Why? Cody.

But what really got me hooked was the fact that the entire thing looked so orchestrated. Think about it. Cody gives RKO a little pep talk before his match about how he's got his back etc etc and not so sure about Ted etc etc. Already the seed of distrust in TED is planted. Now Cody comes out to save Randy. He didn't come out quietly and discreetly only to leave quickly. He came out in full view, attacked Sheamus in broad daylight, and even stuck around long enough to argue with the referee.

Why does this seem strange? Cody's part of Legacy. He's been cheating LONG enough to know how to do it properly (Backlash 2009 comes to mind). The fact that he BLATANTLY did it just proved Ted's theory: AT WM26 Cody wanted to face Sheamus and NOT Orton.

After the bell rung we see Cody pleading his hopeless case. Now Orton pops him and beats him down. Cody doesn't fight back. I know he couldn't in all fairness, but he just DID NOT fight back. So naturally Ted comes in. Why??? I thought he and Cody weren't even speaking to each other. Well anyways, he came in only to get attacked by Orton.

Cody doesn't make any effort really to restrain Orton like Ted did. My theory? Cody figured since he isn't going into the Rumble 100%, then Ted shouldn't go in there 100% either.

All the while, Cody's just been thinking about himself.

So Orton gets booted by the pale man with no character (Sheamus) and Legacy leaves him in the ring.

This is the final nail in the proverbial coffin set for Legacy. Orton beating his team members down and screaming "You're done!" plus the fact that neither men did anything to save Orton from the boot, and didn't even help him out after just proves that come Raw EVERY ONE is tuning in to see what Legacy does next. And I for one am pretty excited too.

RKO FOR LIFE!
