Oakland Raiders: Room For Progress, Space For Growth

There are debates and comparisons between the Chicago Bears and the Oakland Raiders. If we look at the data from 2000 to 2009, we see that there is room for improvement. There is room for progress.

We observe that during the period from 2000 to 2009, the Raiders actually got more points, when compared to the Chicago Bears during that period.

The Raiders, however, allowed their opponents to get more points, too.

The point-differential for the Oakland Raiders is -512, which means the Raiders allowed their opponents to score much more during this time period, than in earlier periods of the Raiders history.

The Bears also have a negative differential. It means that they, too, need to improve. Yet, their situation is above the Raiders, if you use this parameter.

A simple conclusion is that both teams need to improve. One thing sticks out, though. The Oakland Raiders were more aggressive in getting points during the period 2000-2009, yet they failed, somehow, to have a defensive line that stopped their opponents from scoring.

There are always numbers, located somewhere in the archives to give us a measure of how we performed during various time periods.
