HBK vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania 26: My Prediction of How

Glynn AndrewsJan 26, 2010

So this is my first article on Bleacher Report, also just in general.  I've replied to a few topics here and there, made a few grammatical mistakes and what not.  However, I have just had a revelation as to what I would like to see in the coming months for the WWE and ever evolving storyline of Wrestlemania 'Taker vs HBK 2.  At that point, I felt the need to write an article.

When I first heard the rumor that the creative team was planning on rehashing the HBK vs Undertaker feud, I was against it, I thought it would end up being done lazily.  Just an excuse to get those two versus each other on the card at WM26.  I have thus far, been treated to a bit of a treat as Undertaker has blantantly told Shawn...."No."  Or whatever his exact words were.

With that we, the IWC, which, I guess, I am now officially a part of, have a variety of topics under discussion.  It seems that we have broiled down to two camps; HBK vs. 'Taker and HBK vs. HHH at WM26.  Either way, we, the fans, win.  I'm not against either of these matches occuring, as long as they are built up correctly.

As of right now, I see the break-up of DX occuring sometime after the Royal Rumble.  Everyone is expecting this, but some people feel as though, this break-up would lead to an eventual Wrestlemania match between the two DX partners.  But, this has been done before, everytime DX is "reborn" they break-up and have a feud.  Don't get me wrong, they have amazing matches during these feuds, but right now, let us hope for something more.  As for DX breaking up, they will need to lose the titles, do I see Punk and Gallows winning the title, God I hope not, just because Punk's 20 minutes "Savior" promos are...20 f'ing minutes long saying the exact same thing week in and week out...off topic and I'm sorry.  However, since it is CM Punk, I can see them winning over DX dirty.

Anyways, HBK vs. 'Taker, it was done awesomely last year.  But how can they continue it?  Have HBK win the Royal Rumble, of course, wait, no, that is too easy.  Plus it assumes 'Taker will win against Rey at the Rumble, which he probably will, and retain during the Elimination Chamber match in Feburary, which I don't see happening.  I see Undertaker beating Rey at the Rumble, possibly with the help of a distraction by Batista.  Those three are shoo-ins for the EC match at...EC.  Out of that match, I see Batista as the new World Heavyweight Champion and as an added bonus, also the winner of the 2010 Royal Rumble.  I know, I'm doing alot with this article...bear with me.

So, after EC in Feb. you have 'Taker beltless, you have HBK beltless.  But that wouldn't really be reason to have them duke it out again in front of the Grandest Stage, but what do these two have in common, what else is going on.  Finally, I get to the point, Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon, no one wants to see these two duke it out, Vince sucks at wrestling and Bret Hart...is damaged.  So why not have them pick out wrestlers to duke it out for them.  That is one of the predictions going around town nowadays, a month ago I thought it would be Hart picking the Hart Dynasty and Vince picking...whoever...prolly the Tag Champs.  But after reading an article, I tried to remember the contributor's name, but can't find the article now, I think it was Ryan something, I realize that Bret and Vince will handpick singles wrestlers, but those wrestlers will be HBK for Bret Hart...cause they made up on RAW and Undertaker for Vince...because he will want someone who can beat Shawn and will threaten to fire Undertaker if he doesn't do it.  We got two months to do this, that is plently of time to see these two storylines weave into eachother more.  All four were part of there for the Montreal Screwjobm, which enriches the story, and yes I can see Vince picking HHH also, but ehh.  Vince picking The Phenom also sets up the McMahon/Undertaker feud that was put on the backburner.

I got sloppy and the end and I am sorry for that.  But other predictions, that I hope for but see as less than likely to happening: Batista unifying the titles at WM26( wins Rumble for title match at WM26 and wins WHC at EC) As for HHH, I have no idea what they will do with him, I'm sure he will have the WWE belt and will face Batista.  I don't really care what they do with HHH.  But, anyways, thanks for reading, this was my first article and I realize that it could use some work and a little massaging, but the main thing is that I got my idea/hope out there for ya'll to see.  Also sorry if I offended an HHH lovers out there, I just honestly have no clue as to what he will do in the next two months...note to self...write out in Word first as Bleacher Report spell check is horrible :D
