Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Mark Dominik Will Give Us His Two Cents

Tom EdringtonJan 26, 2010

Barack Obama's got his hands full with his State of the Union address tomorrow. Today, we're supposed to get the State of the Bucs address from Mark Dominik himself.

That should be most entertaining.

The State of the Bucs, well, it's in some sort of state, namely Florida, but other than that, we all know about that 3-13 mess over there on MLK Blvd.

We all know that they made the earth shattering revelation the other day that soon-to-be second year quarterback Josh Freeman actually could use a quarterbacks coach.

You gotta give them credit at One Buc Place, those guys are pretty smart, yes, time to get a QB coach for Josh. Where do we find such great football minds?

State of the defensive line? Well, a group of fellas that could sure use some help.

State of the offensive line? If you look up "underachieving" in the dictionary, you'll see their photos.

State of the receiving corps? Ah, how about that nifty Michael Clayton and those millions he gets for basically catching a few passes now and then over the course of 16 games. And his partner-in-crime, Antonio Bryant, who collected almost $11 million last season and should be charged with grand larceny.

You think the government wastes money?

State of the running backs?  Thank goodness for Cadillac Williams, otherwise, we wouldn't recognize any of them.

Safeties? There's no safety in Tampa Bay's safeties.

Corners? Yes, there's Aqib and Ronde but that's it.

Linebackers? Yes, there's potential. But potential is such an awful word. It's a word that teams use when they win three games.

The State of the Bucs?

It was a sad state last season.

Can't wait to hear what our crackerjack GM has to report.
