Shawn Michael's Wrestlemania Possibilities Seem Endless

Based on the storylines leading up to this point, and the likely outcomes of the Royal Rumble and Elimination PPVs, it has become interesting to see where WWE will go with Shawn Michaels for Wrestlemania 26. Here is a look at possible matches, and what scenarios could create them.

The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels

Despite what appears to be a lean towards HBK winning the Rumble to get a shot at Taker (and his title), I don't see this being a bout for the World Heavyweight championship. My guess is that Michaels will be eliminated from the Rumble by HHH (setting up a possible feud for later) and nearly finishing off DX (again). Michaels is determined to face the Dead Man again on the "grandest stage of them all." He will somehow interfere in an Undertaker title match sometime soon, costing Taker the title and angering him to a point of accepting Michaels' challenge.

This is a sure bet matchup, and although it would be a repeat from last year, it doesn't need to be for the title to draw.

The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels (Title Match)

The easiest prediction that can be made up to this point is that HBK will win the Royal Rumble, the Undertaker will retain his title up until WM26, and the two will square off for the gold.

I don't like this scenario, however, because it seems TOO predictable. With The Undertaker taking time off after Wrestlemania, it would mean Michaels would have to take the strap off him, and end "The Streak."

Of course, this could set up a "best of three" re-rematch at next year's Wrestlemania in The Undertaker's and/or HBK's final match.

HHH vs. Shawn Micheals

HHH eliminates HBK in the Rumble, the dissension between DX cost them the tag titles on an upcoming Raw, and the stage is set for the two to face off at Wrestlemania 26.

We know a DX breakup is coming, but how do you get the tag titles off of them?

HHH and Vince McMahon vs Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels

Groundwork could be getting laid for this to be a possible match as well. HHH and Vince (family), with Vince unable to "bury the hatchet" with the Hitman, versus Bret and Shawn, who have made their peace.

This would play to the HHH-HBK feud, allow Michaels to carry Hart in a match where he is clearly unable to take a bump, and bring closure to Bret by having him slap the Sharpshooter on Vince to win the match.
