Remember The Raiders Rich History and Look Towards a Bright Future

All this talk as to why our beloved Raiders have fallen on tough times is alittle depressing, and quite frankly tends to upset me. The reasons some of us come up with are sometimes just plain absurd. Talking about curses and how former players and staff members have unleashed some sort of evil and demonic force upon the organisation that did them so wrong. Or perhaps those of us who point the finger at Al Davis and call for his head, insisting that if he was gone we would immediately be returned to greatness.

The fact of the matter is that there is NO CURSE and Al Davis IS NOT THE REASON why we have fallen on tough times. To perpetuate such nonsense is completely irrational and illogical.

Look at the Raiders and past and you will see that we are a great franchise. Among the 32 teams in existence the Raiders are one of only & temas to win three or more Super Bowls. Think about that for a second.................... That is pretty damn good huh???

Of those three Super Bowl rings how many do you think Al Davis has been a part of??.... Yup that's right, all three. That's pretty damn good too huh???

So why are we insistent on blaming him and external forces for our lack of production?? The answer is simple, we are extremly frustrated and tired of losing. The truth is we are tired of losing, tired of being ridiculed my other fans whose teams have far less prestige and Lombardi trophies then does our fabled franchise.

As the great Vince Lombardi once said " Winning is not a sometime thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing."

Its time that we drop this bad habit and get back to the winning mind set, I know the Nation is ready to see us climb to the top of the league again and that is going to happen a lot sooner then later.

The truth is we are a great franchise and it is time that we remind the league jsut how great we are! Stop making excuses and stop pointing the finger! We are a great franchise and we will remind the league that we are the only team in the league that has a commitment to excellence!!!
