The Top 10 in NCAA Football
1. Georgia Bulldogs - The Bulldogs return a Heisman hopeful, a stellar defense that has the flexibility to shut down any type of offense, and a Sophomore Stud in Knowshon Moreno. Their show against Hawai'i in the Sugar Bowl pretty much tells how deadly this team can be.
2. USC Trojans - No matter what anyone says USC has the most talented football in the nation, and also the deepest team. Sanchez will be just as good as Booty, and they have a sleuth of running backs returning (which were all top 5 at their position when recruited). They always have a good line and a solid defense in a off year for the Pac 10.
3. Oklahoma Sooners - Returning Sam Bradford always helps, and a defense that is always strong, even when they seemingly lose people, and very good running back in Chris Brown. Bob Stoops is a mastermind and the only good team in the Big XII South is Texas Tech this year.
4. West Virginia - Pat White was smart for staying because this year he has a better running back in Noel Divine and some actual receivers. Their defense is always a question, but should be good enough to dominate the Big East. The new coach knows the system so don't expect their offense to miss a beat.
5. Florida Gators - Tim Tebow, a fast defense, and good athleticism will be enough to carry this team to the Top 5. If their conference wasn't so hard they would be higher, bust most likely they will come out with two losses.
6. Ohio State - Have the talent to be either one or two, but their lack of ability to show up in big bowl games and lack of speed drops them here for now until they prove otherwise. Pryor will not make a big impact until next year, but I'm sure they will have packages for him probably near the goal line.
7. Texas Tech - A stellar offense, two Heisman hopefuls, an improving defense, and the most talent they have had under Mike Leach makes this team deadly for anyone. This could be the year for the first BCS bowl ever for Texas Tech and Mike Leach. "The beatings will continue until moral improves" will be a good motto for them this year.
8. Missouri - Chase Daniel, a good offense, a good defense, and of course being in the Big XII North has Missouri on the rise. Their showing in the Cotton Bowl where they just absolutely annihilated Arkansas shows that this team is for real. Should go undefeated for sure.
9. LSU - QB controversy through the roof, but with enough great recruits to cover up for that, a lot of good running backs, and a defense that won't miss a beat, the Tigers will still make noise in the SEC.
10. Clemson - Another surprise here like Texas Tech, CJ Spiller and James Davis are the best running back duo by far, could be better than Arkansas last year. Their quarterback emerged last year, and should be better than Charlie Whitehurst and a stellar defense should be enough to win the ACC. If they don't this year, I don't know what they will do.
