Derrick Rose Burns Phoenix Suns in Desert

Derrick Rose has been called a lot of things in his one-and-a-half years in this league. 

But until Friday night in Phoenix, "humanitarian" was not one of them.

Rose, who had agreed to donate $1,000 towards Haitian relief efforts for every point he scored, put on a dazzling display that will no doubt further propel him into the all-star conversation.

On a night when Chicago needed a go-to guy after back-to-back losses, Rose came up big time and again, finishing up with 32 points of 15-21 shooting.

Take your pick, as they say. You could have his nearly flawless 18 point first half, in which he openly mocked the lay-off defense with his much improved jumper.

Not a fan of early glory?

How about his buzzer-beating three-pointer from beyond the arc to end the third quarter?

Still not good enough?

Well then, you can have his monster dunk midway through the fourth quarter that silenced the crowd inside the arena as well as the coyotes in the outskirts of Phoenix.

The rest of the team rode the second-year sensation as he led them to a much-needed victory on the road—only their fifth all season.

Before a national audience, Derrick Rose finally demonstrated what Bulls fans have known all along.
