Michigan Friday: Spring Game and Recruiting Notes

• Michigan announced that the Spring Game will be on Saturday, Apr. 17. It will be the first time you get to see Devin Gardner in the Maize and Blue and Denard and Tate back under center. Who is going to be the top running back?

• Some have wondered why Devin dropped out of Rivals top 100 players. The reason is over the summer Devin worked hard on his mechanics with some top QB coaches. As the season wore on, his mechanics digressed a bit and his rating dropped. Nothing to worry about now that he is on campus and will get the proper coaching.

• Seems "Big Tex" Jatashun Beachum enjoyed his official visit to Arkansas last weekend and insiders expect him to stay at committed to the Hogs.

• With the 2010 recruiting season starting to come to an end that means it's time for Walk On News! Can you feel the excitement? I know you could! We know that RR's strategy on full backs is to take them as walk on's. Well it seems we have our first preferred walk on offer of the season: Niko Palazeti is a 6'0" 230 pound FB from Northville, MI who played for Detroit Catholic Central. Niko currently doesn't have any scholarship offers.

• Sean Parker has been quiet with the recruiting services since his visit to USC last weekend. So we don't know if Lane and the boys impressed him or not.

• So the final two spots in Michigan's class looks like it comes down to: Sean Parker, Demar Dorsey, Rashad Knight, Tony Grimes, and A2 visitor this weekend Jibreel Black. I would say each player is 50/50 on being Blue. The Michigan coaches have a lot of selling to do before 2/3. I wonder if Rich Rod has used his in home visit on Sean Parker yet, if he hasn't I hope he does it in the next two weeks.
