2010 Top 25 Outfielder Rankings

Here’s an early look at Outfielder Rankings.

1.  Ryan Braun – Power, Average, Speed. He’s got it all.

2.  Matt Holliday – I love that he re-signed with St. Louis, where he hit .353 with 42 runs, 13 HRs, and 55 RBI in 63 games.

3.  Matt Kemp – Has a legitimate chance at a 30-30 season.

4.  Grady Sizemore – Now that he’s healthy, Sizemore should  be one of the best dual threats again. Another 30-30 candidate.

5.  Justin Upton – Really blossomed last year. He should continue to grow into an elite  outfielder.

6.  Jacoby Ellsbury – His SBs put you in the driver seat of the SB category.

7.  Andre Ethier – He’s been raking for a year and a half. At 28, he should be just getting started.

8.  Carl Crawford – Another guy who can give you a leg up in the SB category.

9.  Jayson Werth – Big slugger that picks up SBs.
10.  Jason Bay – The move to the Mets should hurt his power numbers, but his RBI production shouldn’t suffer with Jose Reyes and David Wright.
11.  Manny Ramirez – I’m prediction Manny Being Manny is more about hitting than being a distraction in 2010.
12.  Curtis Granderson – Playing in Yankee Stadium a 30-30 season should be within reach.
13.  Nick Markakis – If he can get his power numbers up, he could move up this list.
14.  Adam Dunn – If his average can remain in order, Dunn will be a nice option as the power numbers are always there.
15.  Ichiro Suzuki - He's going to give you a big lift in average. He doesn't score or steal quite like he used to, but is high end OF.
16.  Bobby Abreu – He’s easy to overlook, but he’s virtually a lock for a .290, 100 Run, 15 HR, 100 RBI, 20 SB season.
17.  Carlos Lee – Another .300, 25 HR, 100 RBI season is very likely.
18.  Adam Lind – I fear the fluke factor with Lind, but he should be a nice power source once again.
19.  Nelson Cruz – Displayed both power and speed. Needs to get his average up.
20. Josh Hamilton – He has a lot of question marks, but if he can rebound to anywhere near his 2008 form, he’ll be a steal.
21.  Carlos Quentin – Ditto.
22.  Shane Victorino – He should score a bunch of runs and steal a bunch of bases.
23.   B.J. Upton – One of the most disappointing players last year, but still managed to swipe 42 bags. Has the talent to climb into the top 10 or 15.

24.  Raul Ibanez – Injuries caught up with him, but he was playing at an MVP level for the bulk of the first half.

25.  Adam Jones – Injuries caught up with Jones as well. Has the potential to blow up in 2010.
