The Ultimate Warrior Resurrection

Ron JohnsonJun 26, 2008

Twelve years ago, the WWE/WCW saw the last of one of its controversial superstars wrestle in his final match. Every superstar who faced him didn't want to work with him due to his unpredictability and taking things over the edge as much as possible.

Since then, we thought that we had seen the last of the enigma known as The Ultimate Warrior.

That was true...until now.

Thanks to New Wrestling Evolution, I was able to get some information that no one would have thought was true. I didn't either until I saw the video with my own eyes.

Dressed in a suit and no longer sporting the long locks that became a major part of his attire, Warrior accepted an induction into the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame while promoting NWE over in Europe.

What brought him back into the ring was a different story. As the legend left the arena, he ran into a fan and was signing an autograph until Orlando Jordan came out and mocked the history of the WWE alumnus.

After pushing down the young fan, Jordan was attacked by Warrior, but Jordan's cronies came down and attacked the man formerly known as Ultimate. But it only took a matter of seconds before the alter ego known as The Ultimate Warrior came out and cleared the ring. That was a week ago. This is what happened last night.

In last night's NWE Main Event, Orlando Jordan came out in his best Goldust impression. But after he entered the ring and showed off his ridiculous hairstyle, the familiar music of the Warrior hit, and the man himself came to ring in traditional Warrior fashion: Meaning he sprinted to the ring and shook the ropes to the point of destruction.

As he pumped his fists in the air, the vintage pyros went off around the turnbuckles, and the familiar face paint was donned on for this bout for the NWE World Heavyweight Championship.

After a pretty back and forth battle, the Warrior finished off Jordan with the Big Splash to pick up the victory and the championship. As the sellout crowd of 14,000 went nuts, the Warrior raised the championship in the air before he took the microphone. With the title in hand, he thanked the fans for bringing him back.

For anyone who remembers the man known as The Ultimate Warrior, you should know the feeling that I had when I found out that he was not only coming back, but that he was still a very dangerous man in the ring. So this is why I'm bringing this to all of your attentions. The Ultimate Warrior is back!

And if you don't know, now you know.

Welcome back, Warrior. We've missed you.
