Miz's 15 K Complete Game 😱

Long and Cornelius come up big in Harrisonburg

The Patriots overcame their recent road troubles as Cam Long and Andre Cornelius finished with career days en route to an 82-71 victory. Although according to the Washington Post, a thrown hot dog helped Mason get the win. The projectile snack from the stands did manage to bring JMU's momentum to a hault as they had cut the lead down to four but to stay it gave Mason the victory is ridiculous. Be that as it may Cam Long finished with 24 points and made a lot of clutch shots, scoring 7 points in the final 2:50. Andre Cornelius took advantage of the Dukes lazy first half defense finishing with 19 including a 3-for-5 day from behind the arch. Mason built big leads early with picking a lot of easy points, while making every shot for JMU difficult. But the Dukes rallied in the 2nd half with some poor free-throw shooting by the Patriots late. Mason needs strong play for Long and Cornelius to be successful on the road and they got what they needed from their leaders. It was a crucial road CAA win as the Patriots remain in a four way tie for first place.
