NFL's Easiest Schedule Is... 😯

McNabb Should Be Done in Philadelphia

Mark PepponiJan 11, 2010

In my mind, Donovan McNabb should be done in Philly.

Ten years in, no super bowl, and crash and burns in critical games have broken the camels back.  As Philly fans, we need to start the Kevin Kolb Movement TODAY!

McNabb has endured a lot in Philly.

No one will take that away from him.

His ability to help guide the eagles to playoff wins will make him one the best QBs in Philly history.

However, McNabb's inability to win the big game will define him in Philly.  A town that remembers only what you did yesterday will not welcome him back.  Unfortunate?  Perhaps.  Wrong?  Not at all.

Philly drafted Kolb to be the future of the franchise.

That time has come.  Its time for Andy and Jeffrey to move on.

McNabb's inconsistent play in critical games make this a move Philly must make.  Do you think Donovan will get better with age?  I don't know how many more magical runs he has left.

McNabb is not an accurate enough passer to rely exclusively on his passing game.  Over the past two games, we watched in horror as balls missed receivers that were open.

We will remember the many playoff appearances, but not the absence super bowl wins.  Just too painful to imagine.

Eagle fans will always hold a special place for McNabb.

Unfortunately it shouldn't be in Philly next season.
