Boston Celtics,Trade Rumours ,General Play...oh and Sign Marcus Camby

Tai GiwaJan 11, 2010

As I am writing the Celtics are 26-9 a decent return for a team that has been hit by niggling injuries to their star players one could argue that only 5 of the  9 games they lost they held double digit leads in the early quarters usually getting outscored in the dying quarters  and its due to a lack of a player who can consistently  manufacture points  in the dying minutes of the 4th  quarter; "The Truth"  possesses this ability but as of late he has come up empty and their  uncanny ability to get defensive stops  when it truly matters seems to  have receded

If the Celtics are going to be champions they must find a good back-up point guard I think now more than ever they need a back-up point guard and to me you must cut Shelden Williams lose he hasn't been very effective defensively and offensively his numbers show   I am a huge fan of big baby and enjoy what he does on the court for his team but he has to be more aggressive and show how much better he has got offensively since his time off with his hand injury

3 Teams Eyeing Jaylen Brown 👀

Being honest the best team in the league are the Lakers they  have the best record  overall and the Celtics will continue to play catch up on that record for time to come if it is to be a Celtic-Laker  final then I do feel  home-court will not be an advantage both teams have the ability to win away from home and though the Celtics have played more away  they have lost exactly the same on their travels   the only thing that  could be said is the Celtics still haven't been at full strength and therefore not peaked  for the season whereas the Lakers have peaked

Addressing the Tracy McGrady and Nate Robinson rumours  one must be intrigued by  such rumours a healthy Tracy mcgrady  is a deadly one and a great addition to  any team but he is a superstar and he will need superstars minutes  and would the Celtics start him  because of  his mammoth salary  in my opinion Nate Robinson would be a better fit  at the Celtics he would truly be "Humbled" to  quote the tiny man (I can say that I am 6'10'') he would learn the concept of team basketball because the likes of  Rasheed Wallace and Kevin Garnett to put it simply would not put up with his shenanigans

A perfect fit for me would be Marcus Camby  I feel he would limit  his minutes for a chance to win a championship  and he would offer a well rounded  defensive big man  for the Celtics in the playoffs and  past statistics show that he peaks during the playoffs and I know doc rivers likes having big men on his team if I deal could be worked for either Shelden, Scalabrine ,Jr Giddens or Bill walker and maybe a draft pick  for both Nate Robinson and  Marcus Camby  I would welcome that gladly but the Celtics must get healthy

The Celtics have a period between Jan.28 -Jan.31  at which  in my opinion will  test them mentally and physically  at which they play the magic, hawks and the los Angeles Lakers if they can get past this period with a 2-1 at least I would put them down to win the championship
