Ball State Links: Does Anyone Else Hate Comcast DVR Problems?
I know I was pretty harsh the last time I discussed Comcast, but I should've considered the possibility it was a rogue DVR box. However, my second DVR box has decided to play tricks on me less than two weeks after I got it.
I went to watch PTI after I got off work tonight, and all I got is pitch black on the screen. So, I think, maybe something happened with a few recordings. So I went back to ones I had DVR'd two weeks ago....yup, they're all pitch black.
All you have to do is unplug the box, and plug it back in and the recorded shows play. BUT....all of my guide information is gone. And because the box sucks, it takes about two or three days to get the guide caught up.
This means my plans to record shows tonight will not record in a timely manner. I know what you're thinking, Phil, quit whining. However, when you pay $13.99 a month to have the DVR box, is it really too much to ask to have one that works at full capacity? Whatever. Okay, here we go.
