Welcome To The Minor League Dan Henderson!
ย The humanity of it all. Dan Henderson , with the swipe of the pen, you have put yourself in the position of now being a minor league star.
ย Yes it has to be that way now that you are a Strikeforce stableman and no longer the property of the UFC.
ย In the blink of an eye you have gone from a somebody to a nobody, from a a great top tenย fighter to a no name no talent hack who doesn't belong in a cage with the likes of Rampage, Shogun , Sugar ,and Machida.

Caitlin Clark makes statement on flagrant foul
ย It does not matter that you came with in a eyelash of becoming the light heavyweight champion of the number one organization in the world, or at leastย number one in the minds of many.ย
ย Of course I have never actually seen a computer ranking or a consensus poll that has a fighter from the UFC as the number one fighter just because of the league that you fight in is suppose to beย the best.
ย However I do know that you have already been heavily scrutinized by many pundits as someone who couldn't cut it in the big leagues so you have to settle for being the champion of a "ย lower tierย league" .
ย You do know that if you would haveย defeated Rampage Jackson and became the champion even if for one fight, then you probably would never have to defendย this absurd action to fight in the B leagues, but thats what will happen.
ย Funny isn't it , you haven't even won anything yet, no one has given you the Strikeforce belt yet you have to defend yourself already, so have your speech written out and make your reason for leaving the UFCย ย good so that maybe if you do not win a title in your new home you might have a chance to come back to theย last place you could have been somebody.
ย ย Because now your a nobody , in a struggling organization that Fedor will probably just ruin along with Pride and Affliction. Ironic and demoralizing, willย Hendo's top ten status drop , well if Strikeforce is as inferior as a league as many people think, than yes it would. But then that would be putting the organization ahead of the fighters abilities and I personally do notย think that any rational fan of mixed martial arts could reasonably exlplain that one to me.
ย It's funny that Anderson Silva was better than any otherย middleweight fighter in the world before he came to the UFC, and I don't believe that anyone can argue that!
ย If you think about it though it was losing to the Spider that sent Dan Henderson into this downward spiral that has ended in his sad signing with Strikeforce, the circus sideshow of MMA.
ย Even if this is all in tongue and cheek it is half heartedley true, and if you would have won theย lightย heavyweight title and still lost to Anderson Silva, nobody would be calling this a punk move on your part.
ย I guess the best thing forย everyone is that you dont win a title in Strikeforce, that way nobody can questionย whether or not you were a title contender in the UFC!
