WWE vs. ECW: Extreme Hangover Extreme Slamming
Tonight saw the first and last appearances of the animals of the Land of Extreme.
The night began with such promise as Teddy Long did his best to sell Vince McMahon's accident from last night all the while smiling at the only acquisition of ECW in the Draft. With that, his new superstar came out and showed that it wasn't a total loss for ECW last night.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Hardy and Punk single out Miz in the early going, but a few cheats allow the tag champs to take over. Miz applies a headlock, but Hardy counters and tags in Punk. After a double clothesline and bulldog, Punk gets sent to the outside by Morrison.
Back on ECW, the champs have control with Morrison continuing the assault on the outside. Punk uses a back suplex to break one submission but gets caught in another one by Morrison. After a reverse roll up, Punk tags in Hardy who drops the leg drop and the Side Effect.
After Miz interferes, Hardy gets help from Hornswoggle to land the Twist of Fate on Morrison to pick up the win and send Punk to RAW on a good note.
Second Bout: Kofi Kingston defeats Shelton Benjamin (Extreme Rules)
Kofi has the early advantage with a fake dive followed by a dropkick and leap frog over the top rope. Shelton takes control via a mike and a set of steel steps. As the toys come flying out, Shelton uses a trash can to keep control followed by a suplex on that very trash can.
It takes a grand slam of lid shots to get Kofi back in this match. But as Kofi goes in for the kill with a steel chair, Shelton kicks him in the gut and goes for the Golden Bomb only to get caught in a hurracanrana into the trash can in the turnbuckle. Kofi finishes Shelton with the Trouble in Paradise to pick up the win.
Third Bout: Mike Knox defeats Evan Bourne
Bourne grabs the early advantage but Knox uses a sick clothesline and running splash to gain control. Bourne gains the advantage once more with a missile dropkick and hurracanrana. Unfortunately, he gets caught on the ropes by Knox and gets taken out with a backbreaker followed by the Knox Landing to pick up the victory.
Big Show makes his way down to do color commentary for the main event.
Main Event: Mark Henry defeats Kane
Henry shows his strength to start off with a brick wall clothesline on the 300-pounder. As Kane tries to build momentum, Henry locks his upper tree trunks in a bearhug.
Kane fires back with an enzugiri and falling dropkick. But Henry takes advantage of a slight distraction to drop the ECW Champion on the ropes and land the World's Strongest Slam to pick up the upset win.
If this is a sign of things to come at Night of Champions, expect the Big Show to bring the ECW Championship to the Land of Extreme and the Knights of Friday Nights when ECW goes on the air next week.
