UFC 86 Jackson versus Griffin predictions
The next UFC event has been criticized because of the matchups that appear on the card.
I personally think it is about time to stop making an easy route for mid level fighters that they want to be a big draw. I am going to yet again tell you who I think will do what, and several of you will tell me how you are such a better fan than I am...but this is how I see it.
Corey Hill versus Justin Buchholz
Justin Buchholz has won three of his last four fights either by TKO or KO. Whether he can get through the super long reach of Hill is another story. I see him winning the match, but I'm not sure if he will do it be KO or decision.
Melvin Guillard versus Dennis Siver
This is a tough decision...Guillard by TKO, or Siver by submission...Neither by decision in what I think will unfold as a boring fight.
Jorge Gurgel versus Cole Miller
This will be the first fight in the UFC Gurgel has that will be finished. He will catch Cole Miller with a submission.
Gabriel Gonzaga versus Justin McCully
Gabriel Gonzaga hasn't been impressive since his knockout of Cro-Cop, but McCully seems to have an over sized head, and I think Gonzaga will take this one by knock out.
Tyson Griffin versus Marcus Aurelio
Tyson Griffin by TKO. Griffin is an amazing fighter and Marcus "Maximus" Aurelio isn't near as bad as he sounds.
Josh Koscheck versus Chris Lytle
I hate to say this, but I think Koscheck will do his normal lay on top of his opponent routine and come away with the victory. So Koscheck wins the most tearful, boring, and over rated match of the evening. By decision. You will think you accidentally flipped to a soft-core homoerotic Cinemax special, but relax it's just Koscheck holding a guy down for 15 minutes.
Joe Stevenson versus Gleison Tibau
Joe Stevenson by submission. He is a crushing machine.
Patrick Cote versus Ricardo Almeida
Patrick Cote is going to take this one by TKO.
Quinton Jackson versus Forrest Griffin
I am thinking Quinton Jackson by TKO, but it really wouldn't be a surprise if Forrest pulls off the upset. I think Jackson should be the favorite, but Forrest has proven himself time and time again.
