The other day I was thinking about great dunkers in basketball and I thought about the Memphis Grizzlies.Β

I looked around but could not find a list of the best dunkers in team history.

Because the franchise is still young, picking ten players was a bit of a challenge. However,Β I did come up with a list of really nice players and found at least one YouTube link for that player.Β

These are in no particular order. But here are the 10 best dunkers in Grizzlies history:

Pau Gasol

This was one of my choices that was on the bubble, but I thought he made the cut.

Eddie Jones

He was on the Grizzlies for a short time. But he had some very nice dunks while playing for the Lakers.

Gerald Wilkins

Dominique's brother was on the first Grizzlies team in Vancouver.

Anthony Peeler

Too bad he could not bring a lot more of the "Hook Hammer" to the Grizzlies when they were in Vancouver.

Dahntay Jones

Unless you saw a lot of him, he was very underrated and often overlooked.

Hakim Warrick

He competed in the 2006 Slam Dunk Contest. I found three clips of Warrick. The third clip has highlights from the 2006 NBA Slam-Dunk Contest .

Rudy Gay

He competed in the 2008 Dunk Contest and is considered one of the best in the NBA today.

OJ Mayo

The second-year guard does not have much of a resume yet, but he has potential.

Stromile Swift

He competed in the 2001 Slam Dunk Contest when the team was in Vancouver.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim

This is another athletic dunker on the Vancouver team.

So this is my list. Leave a note in the comments about what you think about the list. Also, let me know who you believe is the best.

Note: You can listen to my weekly Memphis Grizzlies Report podcast where I talk about the team.
