Chicago Cubs Sweep White Sox with 7-1 Win

The Cubs finished off a sweep over the White Sox with another great outing by Ryan Dempster who put in eight innings allowing just one earned run to pick up his ninth win of the season.
The Cubs jumped on the White Sox early when Derrek Lee singled to score Kosuke Fukudome and Eric Patterson was also able to score on an error by Dewayne Wise.

The Cubs later scored in the fifth inning on an Eric Patterson home run, then scored another run on Aramis Ramirez's home run to give the Cubs a 5-0 lead.
The White Sox finally scored in the seventh inning on a Joe Crede single that scored Jermaine Dye to make the score 5-1.
The Cubs then added another run in the bottom of the seventh on an Aramis Ramirez double that scored Derrek Lee. Derrek Lee then doubled in the eighth inning that drove in Eric Patterson to put the Cubs up 7-1.
Biob Howry worked the ninth to finish the game and give the Cubs a clean sweep over the White Sox and to give the Cubs their 14th straight win at home.
Next up, the Cubs will take on the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday.
The match ups for the series are Sean Marshall vs. Jeremy Guthrie on Wednesday, Ted Lilly vs. Brian Burress and on Thurday Jason Marquis vs. Radhames Liz.
With the win, the Cubs now sit at 48-28 with a 4.5 game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals.
