Vikings Offseason Outlook
I realize the Vikings are just starting their journey to the Super Bowl. But I can't survive this bye week without talking about something other than the playoffs.
Here is my position by position breakdown of the Vikings.
Quarterback: Will he or won't he? Favre's choice is the key to the whole offseason. As long as he decides by the draft, the Vikings will be fine. No matter what Brett's decision is, I believe we should let Tavaris Jackson walk. Assuming Favre returns, Rosenfels is a more than capable back up. Then we draft a rookie for them to mentor. If Favre hangs them up then Rosenfels can start with a high pick waiting in the wings.

Kittle Wants Grass Fields ‼️
Running Back: Peterson is a horse. Chester Taylor will likely leave in free agency. Albert Young can back up AP with a mid rounder filling out the roster. Tahi is a good fullback.
Wide Receivers/Tight End: Rice, Berrian, Harvin, and Shiancoe. Enough said. Darius Reynaud and Jaymar Johnson can back them up. Kliensasser can back up Shiancoe.
O-Line: McKinnie, Hutchinson, Sullivan, Herrera, and Loadholt is solid. Cook is a very good back up.
D-Line: Allen and the Williams Wall is great. At some point Pat Williams will need replacing but I would like to see us give Jimmy Kennedy a chance to do that. Ray Edwards is going to be a free agent. Hopefully we sign him if not our highest need outside future QB is DE.
Linebackers: Assuming Henderson is healthy we are set. Greenway, Henderson, and Leber is great. Farwell and Brinkley provide depth.
Corners: Winfield, Griffin, Sapp, and Allen are a great group.
Safeties: Johnson and Williams are decent but to fulfill our defensive promise we need an enforcer back there. Bob Sanders (above) was rumored to be available earlier this year, he would be perfect. I would trade a second rounder for him.
Special Teams: Punter is also a potential need.
