Duke Tops The Rankings:ACC Power Rankings Jan 4

1. Duke (12-1) 

   Duke Played outstanding Sunday Against #21 Clemson which easily made them # 1 on this list.

2. North Carolina (11-3)

Carolina is a good young team but will need to work on there back court if they want to have a good chance against Duke.

3. Wake Forest (11-2) 

Most People will not agree with me because of when Wake played William & Mary but you have to remember that Wake beat Gonzaga and gave Purdue all they could handle.

4. Miami (14-1) 

Miami is a very good basketball team I'm just concerned about there schedule so far it has been way to easy and if they are a bubble team later on it may come back to haunt them.

5. Virginia Tech (12-1)

They are a very good team and they have managed to beat Penn State, Iowa, Georgia, and Seton Hall. The only team they have lost to was Temple.

6. Clemson (12-3)

The Reason I have Clemson this low is because how bad they got embarrassed against Duke last night and how they blew a big lead against Illinois to help the Big 10 win the Challenge.

7. Georgia Tech (12-2)

What concerns me about Georgia Tech is there loss to Florida State and they had a tough time against UNC Charlotte.

8. Florida State (12-2) 

Florida State concerns me because they lost to Florida by 16 and was never really in the game.

9. Maryland (9-4) 

Maryland is going to be good but they need to at least beat one top 25 before they go up in this rankings.

10. NC State (10-4)

They are good but that 75 foot shot by Florida is going to haunt the for a long time.

11. Virginia (7-4)

They are a good young team they just need to play better in crunch time situations.

12. Boston College (9-5)

I don't know what to say about this team they have beat Miami and Michigan but they lost to teams like UNI, Harvard, Maine and you can't compete against teams in the ACC if you lose to teams of that caliber.
