Momonoski vs Kellogg - Week 17
Well it’s the last week of the season and it’s time to post an update on the Momonoski vs Greg Kellogg - Jay Cutler vs Kyle Orton bet. It really has turned out to be one of the more heated debates for many BTR hosts, listeners, chatters, and callers. . . “Who’s the better fantasy QB; Kyle Orton or Jay Cutler?”
Two weeks ago I asked for the “real Jay Cutler” to please step up and he answered the call with a brilliant 4 TD performance in over-time that was the stuff of legend. While it doesn’t erase what has been an abysmal season for Cutler, it did propel him into a lead that is likely to be the death blow in this year long battle of QBs.

Orton was no slouch either last week with 3 TDs against a tough Philadelphia defense but at this point, Kyle will need a huge game against the Chiefs this week and he’ll also need Cutler to get shut down by the worst secondary(Detroit) in the league. . . like I said, it’s not looking good for Camp Orton.
Here’s the total point count with one week left:
(Scoring System: 4pt for passing TDs, 6pt for rushing/receiving TDs, .05pts for every yard passing, .10pts for every 1 yard rushing/receiving, 2pts for 2pt conversion, -1pt per INT, and -2pts for fumbles lost)

Only one more game and it’s VERY doubtful that Cutler gets shut down in this one. While the Broncos may have the better record and Orton may have won more games, this was a question of numbers and statistics. Cutler didn’t have as good an offensive line or the same receiving corps but he got the job done and he’ll continue to get better in Chicago as they build around him. It’s been a great bet and hopefully we’ll be back here to post a pic of Momo in his Cutler Jersey.
