Listeners Challenge Champ: Taz

When we started the BTR Listeners Challenge, there was a lot of smack talk to say the least. Tempers flared, debates were heated, and claims were made.

Only one man now stands victorious at the end of things and that man is none other than Mr. Jim Day, a.k.a. “Taz” of FantasyFootballWhiz.com. Jim was the total points leader for the regular season and rebounded from an 0-4 start to not only make the playoffs, but roll right through the post-season.

Jim will take home most of the prize money but he gets ALL the bragging rights here in our inaugural season with a championship against some of the more sage FF gurus from the Fantasy Sports Channel. Each week on the waiver-wire was a nightmare of minutia-scraping terror that only intensified as the weeks went on, as each owner tried to get whatever value could be had. The one true fact of the matter remains. . . if you didn’t draft a good team, you didn’t make it far in this league.

Speaking of which, there are shout-outs that need to take place. Andrew Garda will take home the 2nd place pay-out and while it’s not much, it might help pay for a nice family dinner. He had a fine showing in the playoffs, ousting both Alex Petras and DC to get to the championship game. Once again here, it was due to a strong draft and some smart moves. Kudos to AG for a fine season played!!!
