Start'Em: Devin Aromashodu Is Worth Starting-NFL Fantasy Football Rankings
Fantasy football seasons will end this Sunday and in Chicago the Bears may have themselves a new wide receiver for fantasy owners to take note of. Since Devin Hester left the teams lineup, the Bears starting quarterback Jay Cutler has found a new target named Devin Aromashodu .
Two of the past three weeks Aromashodu has produced at least seven receptions and a touchdown catch. While this is worth paying attention to, it is Aromashodu's performance against the Vikings last Monday night that should truly catch fantasy owners' attention.
In that game Aromashodu was clearly Cutler's top target as he threw to him with confidence for seven receptions for 150 yards and a touchdown catch that was the clincher in overtime for a victory.
This young third year receiver has taken sometime to develop since coming out of Auburn, but now it looks like the Bears may have themselves a player with the talent to do some damage next season.
As for this week, the Bears will head to Detroit and take on the Lions. This is another fine opportunity for Aromashodu to have a strong game as he should be able to use his speed to burn the Lions shaky secondary.
Being Aggressive With the Football
Last week I went to the 49ers-Lions' game and let me tell you, 49ers quarterback Alex Smith had opportunities all game long to beat the Lions poor coverage down the field. For whatever reason, Smith was very gun shy and only made one attempt down the field in the game.
That attempt led to a 50 yard catch by Michael Crabtree, and it would have been a touchdown if Crabtree didn't struggle with holding onto the football.
While Smith may have confidence issues in throwing the football farther than five yards down the field, Cutler certainly doesn't have those issues.

Look for Cutler and Aromashodu to both have strong numbers coming out of this game as it would be wise for the Bears to have Cutler finish on a positive note.
If you have receivers like Reggie Wayne or Brandon Marshall (both out or likely to play very little) then you need another receiver to help you in the final week. Give a hot hand a try in Aromashodu and let him help your fantasy football team in an easy matchup.
Heading into 2010
At this time, I will be interested to see what the Bears do in free agency as they have a few needs and receiver is one of them. Talk around Chicago is that fans would like to see Hester return to focusing on his kick and punt returning.
In order for that to happen the Bears need some receivers that can give Cutler an opportunity to be productive.
Look for Aromashodu to receive every opportunity this off season to be a starting receiver on this team as he will be heading into his fourth season in the NFL.
If Aromashodu can win a job as a starter than he should be a very hot sleeper pick in the late rounds of many fantasy football drafts next year. Cutler has talent and a strong arm, someone is going to benefit from his skills and fantasy owners would be best served to remember this young man's name.
