Are The Patriots Setup To Win The Super Bowl?

    My first question is this...Why is it that no one seems to be too worried about the Patriots this season? Is it because the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts were chasing an undefeated season? Possibly. All season it's been all about how Brady is having trouble getting back to his 2007 form, their defense is lacking, and Moss is becoming unhappy. In 2001 the Patriots won the Super Bowl with an 11-5 record, the others were records of 14-2. The Arizona Cardinals proved last season that records mean nothing as long you can get in to the post season, along with the 2007 Giants. Anyone has a chance and as far as I'm concerned unless one team is ridiculously more dominant than the rest then it just comes down to who's got the most momentum or happens to get hot at the right time. If the playoff seeds stay the way they are then the Patriots have a great chance of going to the Super Bowl and possibly winning it. The reason is this...the Pats five losses have come from the Jets, Broncos, Colts, Saints, and the Dolphins. Four out of Five of those are possible post season match-ups. Having already lost to those teams they slightly have the upper hand going in to those games, add in one of the better coaches in history, and Bradys' playoff experience it could be a very dangerous team. If you're the New England Patriots isn't this where you want to be? Everyone looking at the Colts and Chargers or even the Bengals as if you're not the same team you used to be. Just like the Saints and Vikings, people are starting to slide off the bandwagon and that's when teams become more dangerous, when they start being overlooked or a little more under rated. The 2007 Giants went in to the playoffs and aside from Tampa Bay every team they played in the playoff's and Super Bowl they'd lost to in the regular season, including the Cowboys twice. It just seems that with the current schedule the Patriots may have a slight advantage not being the favorite this time especially if they face the Saints in the Super Bowl after losing to them also in the regular season.
