Stay Horny My Friends...TCU Frogs Will Dominate Bowl Game!
The 2010 Fiesta Bowl is a matchup that I firmly believe should have never been put together. TCU deserves a better opportunity to display their abilities and talent to the nation.
If ever there was a time where getting put into a BCS bowl game was a slap in the face, this is it for TCU. It’s a no-win situation for them from the standpoint of national respect. If they win, it will be said that it was against a Boise State team that plays a soft schedule and didn’t really deserve to be there. If they lose, they will never live down the shame of losing to a WAC team. I think TCU, and the nation, deserve an opportunity to see a better matchup.
TCU is the real deal. Unlike Boise State and Cincinnati, TCU has played a respectable schedule and has shown over and over again that they have the ability to not only win games, but dominate.
With wins over Clemson, Virginia, and BYU, TCU has shown that they can play with nationally recognized teams.
Their 45-10 win over Wyoming, at first glance unimpressive (because it’s Wyoming), becomes a little more notable when it’s compared to the Texas Longhorns 41-10 win over Wyoming. While I would probably say that Texas is still a more talented team than TCU, I would love to see that matchup played out on the field. On any given day, Texas can be a dominant force, but TCU has proven to be much more consistent in their play and that consistency should have earned them a spot in the BCS championship.
My prediction is that no 2010 BCS game will be within 10 points. Alabama will take down Texas 38-20. Florida will dominate Cincy in a 42-10 beat down. Georgia Tech will beat Iowa 31-7. Ohio St will lose to Oregon 31-17. And finally, TCU will show the nation why they deserved a shot at the Crimson Tide, with a dominating 38-17 win over the national media darling, Boise State.
On Jan 4, Coach of the Year Gary Patterson will have the Horned Frogs ready and TCU is going to deliver a knockout punch that will make Byron Hout have flashbacks of the Oregon game.
