Bears Upset The Vikings in OT; Saints Clinch No. 1 Seed
After scoring 17 points in the third quarter of Monday night's game to force an overtime against the Chicago Bears, the Minnesota Vikings couldn't stop the game winning scoring drive from the Bears as their NFC North rivals took the game by the final score of 36-30.
Minnesota capped off a 68-yard drive with a 6-yard touchdown relay from QB Brett Favre to Sidney Rice with just 0:16 remaining on the game clock.
Jay Cutler threw a game winning, 69 yard pass to Devin Aromashodu after the Bears had gained possession after the Vikings's second fumble of the game out of the hands of Adrian Peterson just moments after he received a 16 yard pass from Favre with 9:32 to go in the first overtime period.

The loss by the Vikings means that the New Orleans Saints will enter the playoffs as the No. 1 seed. With Minnesota's record now at 11-4, that's puts them into a tie with the Philadelphia Eagles. Since the Eagles hold the tie-breaker over Minnesota, the Vikings will need a win in Week 17 and a loss by the Eagles vs. Dallas in order to clinch a first-round bye. Otherwise, the Vikings will host a first round playoff game during the Wild Card weekend.
Vikings RB Peterson was kept under a 100 yards yet again this season, finishing the night with 94 rushing yards on 24 carries. However, Peterson did break the plane twice on the night. Chestor Taylor, the Vikings's other key back, rushed the ball eight times for 29 yards.
For the passing game, the Vikings sent the ball through the air 40 times in the game for 321 yards. The Bears made 35 attempts for 273 yards.
