🚨Sabres Force Game 7 vs. Habs

Halak, Kane, Luongo Named Three Stars of the Week

Tyler BlouinDec 28, 2009

Jaroslav Halak was has certainly not squandered his opportunity as the Montreal Canadiens starting goaltender lately. Over the past four games, Halak has stopped an unbelievable 180 shots, only allowing six goals over that time frame. The Habs can be thankful their goaltender is standing tall, but they should also take note of the high number of shots Halak must face. Jacques Martin will likely start him tonight as the Canadiens visit the Senators. If you're in a fantasy league that uses goaltending stats, pick up Halak while he's hot.

Patrick Kane was an offensive force last week, providing 5 goals and 8 points. Three of those goals were game-winners, including one on Sunday night against the Thrashers with just 44 seconds left to play. His Blackhawks are currently sitting atop the Western Conference with the best record in the NHL, posting 26 wins in 38 games (26-9-3).

Vancouver netminder Roberto Luongo has played his normal dominate game lately, allowing only three goals in his last 3 games which were all Canucks victories. On the season, Luongo has a 19-12-2 records , 2.28 GGA, and a .920 SV%.
