PFT's hog wash, In Defense of Albert Haynesworth.
You know, there is some stuff Pro Football Talk writes that is pretty good, and then other stuff that is down right mind boggling, and well, stupid. This is the latter case.
"But Snyder needs to make one more change in order to properly break from his fantasy-football mindset of seasons past.
He needs to get rid of defensive tackle NFL&id=2636" target="_blank">Albert Haynesworth
Haynesworth is far more trouble than he’s worth, as Haynesworth’s recent actions have demonstrated. Sure, he’s talented. But he’s a divisive personality who can’t deal with adversity and can’t stay healthy and the Redskins never should have signed him.
"
This is one of the dumber things these guys have written, and in my opinion, this type of stuff is what trashes PFT’s reputation. Get rid of Haynesworth? Really? Do these guys watch a single Redskins game?
Yeah, we did a little bashing of Big Al over the weekend on leading by example. We will hit any player that deserves it. BUT, that does not mean we would advocate getting rid of Haynesworth. First, Haynesworth is RIGHT. He is not being used as he should, the scheme sucks for Haynesworth, and the scheme has failed to take advantage of the $100 million investment and the subsequent Haynesworth domination that comes with it. The problem is the scheme and the coaching. However, that will change soon. Real soon. Like in the next two weeks. Blache will be gone, Haynesworth will be present.
Further, did these guys watch the game last night? Two of the 4th down and inches in which Dallas went for it and failed were directly resultant from Albert Haynesworth’s presence, stuffing the middle and tackles.
