The Dallas Cowboys will take on the Washington Redskins this Sunday in what should be a mismatch. The Redskins are looking towards next year and have already started interviewing for a new head coach even though their current one is still working.

The Cowboys are coming off a big win over the previously perfect New Orleans Saints and are going to be very confident going into this game. Beyond that, they’ll also have an extra day to prepare as they played last Saturday while the Redskins played on Monday.

The short week will hamper the Redskins, who have a laundry list of injuries. Quarterback Jason Campbell is battered while the offense is already without the teams top two running backs, starting tight end and three offensive linemen.

The Giants pasted the Redskins and the Cowboys should do the same. They need this win to clinch a playoff spot, so they are really going to be up for this game. Meanwhile, Washington can’t be trusted on a short week with nothing on the line.

NFL Betting Pick: Cowboys -6.5

Sportsbook.com Odds (Sportsbook.com Sportsbook Review): Vikings -7

The Minnesota Vikings are starting to find out what the New York Jets did last year: Brett Favre in December is a little different than Brett Favre in the other months of the year.

The Vikings caught a break last week when the Green Bay Packers lost on the last play off the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, which really took the heat off of the Vikings loss to the Carolina Panthers.

Even so, the Vikings had some infighting this week as Favre and head coach Brad Childress had a “heated conversation” and there is clearly some frustration. This week will be another tough test for the Vikings because Favre will be playing on the road in the outdoor elements. The good news is that with the Saints in first place and the Vikings in second place in the NFC, the Vikings won’t have to play outside of a dome until the Super Bowl.

In this week’s game, the Vikings will be playing a hapless Bears squad but they played the hapless Panthers last week and got smoked. This will be the second consecutive road games for the Vikings, so fatigue will be an issue. Mixed in with the poor weather, the Vikings could lose two straight.
