LA Gets Terminated On Christmas; Lebron and The Cavs Wreak Havoc

Amin LittlejohnDec 25, 2009

How about those Cavs?

How fitting the Cavs break LA's 11 game win streak at home, When the Lakers were so gracious as to the break the Cavs win streak last year, Karma truly is A B****.

The Cavs dominated from the start of the game. They competed harder in every aspect of the game. Gasol and Bynum were neutralized by Shaq,Z, and Varejao so much for that mismatch in favor of The lakers that they.

Mo Williams ran circles around Derek Fisher the whole night in route to 28 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. It really was a spectacular game Mo put together on the court showing the most glaring mismatch on the court, Fisher guarding him. He did it in a variety of ways posting fisher 3 times, three three pointers, and simply put scoring the ball. He really showed Lebron that when he is needed he is more then happy to help out.

As for Lebron his usual output 26 points, 9 assists, and 4 rebounds. So much for Ron Artest being a neutralizer for Lebron. He was bullied down in the post by Lebron on a few ocassions and from my point of view a little effort was lacking from him when he tried to get off of screens.

This win was also mainly due to hot shooting. The Cavs shot a blazing 53 percent from the field and LA 36.5 percent from the field. The Cavs shot better then that from three point range try 38.9 percent.

Also it was an excellent showing of defense from the Cavs holding them to 36.5 percent from the field and tallying in 37 defensive rebounds. To go along with that 7 steals and 7 blocks. There was a hand in a shooters face all night and effort on defense all night.

Another area that really jumped out to me was bench points. 31 for Cleveland to LA's 17. Jamario played an awesome game with 13 points, and decent defense on Kobe.

The Lakers fan also showed there class by throwing their foam fingers on the floor! Talk about Championship fans way to reward a great team that had a bad night.

For all those Lebron haters that say he has no class and isnt a leader i beg to differ. When the foam fingers were being thrown on the floor he called his teammate over into a huddle and told them to remain calm. Then when things started to get chippy between Fisher and Mo he came over to diffuse the situation.

On a christmas afternoon what could be better then a Cavs win against the Lakers at the Staples Center. This was a message from the Cavs to the Lakers and the rest of the League: We are still contenders and we are not to be taken lightly.
