Dana, Please Let Your Best Enter Abu Dhabi!

  There is no doubt any anyones mind that MMA competitors are very good at what they do. But my argument is when the certain aspects of there sports are broken down into categories, such as straight boxing, muay thai, and kickboxing, they seem to become a little less than spectacular.

  There is a competition held yearly that I think several members of the MMA world could really shine, The Abu Dhabi grappling competition held yearly is like the Olympics for all styles of grappling and in my opinion, not only could many compete there are many who could win this coveted prize.

  Rickson Gracie recently claimed that he could tap out Captain America, Fedor and Frank Mir. Rickson also claims to be 400 and 0 in fighting throughout his career. But in all reality there are many brilliant and talented competitor's who enter this prestigious tournament every year and it would be no cake walk for any MMA fighter.

  The great thing about this tournament is that it is grappleling only, and is not a ju jitsu competition only contrary to what many people think.

  BJ Penn,Randy Couture, Mir and Velasquez would be a very formidable group of combatants. You tube Shinya Aoki vs Roger Gracie sometime and you will see that even though Shinya gave up almost a hundred pounds he gave a game performance to the world class grappler.

  Fedor Emileanenko would shine in this event and has even discussed a very strong interest in entering the ADCC where I think his combo of judo, sambo, and jits , along with a very strong sambo tournament held in his own country every year would benefit him very well.

  The UFC however would have to let some of there best train for a couple of months for this and I cannot see Dana White letting this happen, taking away potential match-ups from his stacked pool of talent.

  Please Dana just give in for once, you would be appreciated dearly, and probably gain a new fan.
