Fantasy Basketball: Week 10 Schedule

Ryan LesterDec 25, 2009

Merry Christmas All!

Here’s a look at the Week 10 NBA schedule as you prepare to set your fantasy lineup.

Four Games

TOP NEWS

With Jayson Tatum sidelined, Celtics' fourth-quarter comeback falls short in Game 7 loss to 76ers
DENVER NUGGETS VS GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS, NBA

Charlotte Bobcats :  vs. MIL, @TOR, @MIA, @CLE

Stephen Jackson is a great play as long as his back spasms don’t hold him up. He’s pretty tough, so look for him to play through the pain. Same goes with Gerald Wallace (migraines), though the Bobcats are likely to be more cautious with him. Raymond Felton is a must-start. Tyson Chandler (foot) concerns me. If he can’t go, look for Nazr Mohammed to carry the load. Maybe Boris Diaw will actually show up.

Cleveland Cavaliers :  @ATL, vs. ATL, @NJ, vs. CHA

Roll with LeBron and Mo as always. Anderson Varejao, Shaq, and Big Z can be used if you need help with rebounds.

Indiana Pacers :  @CHI, vs. MEM, vs. MN, @NY

Troy Murphy and Mike Dunleavy are the best options. Roy Hibbert, Earl Watson, and Dahntay Jones are possibilities.

Los Angeles Lakers :  @PHX, vs. GS, vs. SAC, vs. DAL

Same as always. Use the stars.

Minnesota Timberwolves :  @SA, vs UTA, vs. ORL, @IND

Big Al, K-Love, and Flynn have to be used. Corey Brewer and Ryan Gomes (if healthy) can be used as well.

New York Knicks :  @DET, @NJ, @ATL, vs. IND

Roll with Al Harrington, Chris Duhon, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, and David Lee. Larry Hughes can be used if his groin is healthy.

Oklahoma City Thunder :  @NJ, @WAS, vs. UTA, @MIL

Their big three are no-brainers. Rookie James Harden can be used this week, as well.

Philadelphia 76ers :  @POR, @SAC, @LAC, @DEN

Iggy, Thaddeus Young, and Elton Brand are nice choices. Samuel Dalembert has been limited by Marreesse Speights’ return and Brand’s improvement. They all can be used this week. Lou Williams is back and is worth the gamble with four games this week.

Sacramento Kings :  vs. DEN, vs. PHI, @LAL, vs. DAL

Tyreke Evans and Jason Thompson are the no-brainers. Beno Udrih should be used as well. Omri Casspi, Spencer Hawes, and Andres Nocioni are options as well.

San Antonio Spurs :  vs. MIN, vs. MIA, @WAS, @TOR

I like Tim Duncan, Manu, Tony Parker, and Richard Jefferson this week. Nobody else offers a lot of promise.

Three Games

Atlanta Hawks
:  vs. CLE, @CLE, vs. NYK

Same deal as usual. Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, Al Horford, and Jamal Crawford are great options. Marvin Williams and Mike Bibby are decent ones.

Boston Celtics :  @GS, @PHX, vs. TOR

Roll with Rondo, Ray Allen, Kendrick Perkins, and KG (thigh) if he’s healthy. If he’s not, feel free to use Rasheed Wallace. Pierce will be out, but I don’t like any of his replacements.

Chicago Bulls :  vs. IND, @DET, vs. ORL

I like Luol Deng, Derrick Rose, and Joakim Noah. John Salmons is very inconsistent and I might look for another option.

Dallas Mavericks :  @HOU, @SAC, @LAL

Dirk is back from getting bit. Jason Terry, Erick Dampier, Jason Kidd, Josh Howard, and Shawn Marion can be used as well. Jose Juan Barea has also played well and is an option.

Denver Nuggets :  @SAC, @UTA, vs. PHI

Roll with Melo, Chauncey, Kenyon Martin, J.R. Smith, and Nene.  The Birdman can be used for boards and blocks.

Golden State Warriors : vs. BOS, @LAL, @POR

Monta Ellis and Corey Maggette are great plays. Anthony Randolph and Stephen Curry are solid as well. Anthony Morrow and C.J. Watson are low-end options.

Houston Rockets :  vs. NO, vs. DAL, @NO

Aaron Brooks, Luis Scola, Trevor Ariza, and Carl Landry are nice options. Kyle Lowry can be used if you need assists.

Memphis Grizzlies :  vs. WAS, @IND, @PHX

Zach Randolph has been a beast. Rudy Gay, O.J. Mayo, and Marc Gasol should be used. Mike Conley can give you assists.

Miami Heat :  @NO, @SA, vs. CHA

I only like Dwyane Wade and Michael Beasley, although you can use Udonis Haslem, Jermaine O’Neal, and Quentin Richardson.

Milwaukee Bucks :  @CHA, @ORL, vs. OKC

Andrew Bogut, Brandon Jennings, and Ersan Ilyasova are the top choices. Luke Ridnour is a possibility.

New Jersey Nets :  vs. OKC, vs. NY, vs. CLE

Use Brook Lopez and Devin Harris. I’d leave Chris Douglas-Roberts (ankle) on your bench. Courtney Lee is a decent option. Yi Jianlian is back, but I’d hold off on using him.

New Orleans Hornets :  @HOU, vs. MIA, vs. HOU

Chris Paul, David West, Peja, and Okafor are your options this week.

Orlando Magic :  vs. MIL, @MIN, @CHI

Vince Carter, Dwight Howard, and Rashard Lewis are great choices. Let Jameer Nelson works the rust off before using him.

Phoenix Suns :  vs. LAL, vs. BOS, vs. MEM

Steve Nash, Amar’e Stoudemire, Jason Richardson, Grant Hill, and Channing Frye can be used.

Portland Trail Blazers :  vs. PHI, vs. LAC, vs. GS

Roll with Brandon Roy (shoulder) if healthy, Andre Miller, and LaMarcus Aldridge. Martell Webster is far too inconsistent. Juwan Howard is a possibility now that Joel Pryzbilla (knee) is hurt.

Toronto Raptors :  vs. CHA, @BOS, vs. SA

Use Chris Bosh, Hedo Turkoglu, and Andrea Bargnani. Jarrett Jack can be used if Jose Calderon (hip) continues to be out.

Utah Jazz :  @MIN, @OKC, vs. DEN

Carlos Boozer, Deron Williams, Mehmet Okur, and Andrei Kirilenko are nice options. Ronnie Brewer, Paul Millsap, and C.J. Miles are options.

Washington Wizards :  @MEM, vs. OKC, vs. SA

Gilbert Arenas, Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison, and Brendan Haywood are the only ones I’d trust right now.

Two Games

Detroit Pistons
:  vs. NY, vs. CHI

Rodney Stuckey is the only legit option. Charlie Villanueva (foot) is struggling.

Los Angeles Clippers :  @POR, vs. PHI

Use Chris Kaman, Baron Davis, and Marcus Camby.
