Why Signing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar On Loan Is a Wise Move For Arsenal

With Arsenal currently low on strikers due to their horrible injury toll, manager Arsene Wenger has insisted he will look for a striker during the January transfer window.

The Gunners main strike force, Robin van Persie, is likely to be out for the season with an ankle injury, and Nicklas Bendtner still not fully fit. Wenger is keen for a talented, strong striker.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar?

Rumour has it Wenger is hoping to land the talented Dutchman on loan during January.

Huntelaar has struggled with AC Milan since joining them at the beginning of the season from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The imposing forward is eager to make the Netherlands' World Cup squad and feels a move away from the San Siro may help.

Acquiring the 26-year-old would be a terrific option for Wenger, even if it is for six months. Huntelaar is exactly the type of striker Arsenal craves.

The Dutchman is tall, strong and imposing. The former Ajax star is blessed with terrific balance, power and a lethal finish.

Eduardo is currently the fit striker at hand for the Gunners, and the Croatian thrives when playing beside a strong striker. Eduardo lacks strength and power when on his own, but when beside a big man, the 26-year-old is allowed to be more creative and free.

Huntelaar can also play the lone striker role well, easily holding up the ball and creating chances. The Dutch international is also a huge threat from set pieces.

A loan move for Huntelaar is wise for Wenger and one that needs to be made as soon as Janaury arrives.
