What Can We Expect from WWE in the New Year

The year is coming to a close, people will be celebrating with loved ones soon, taxes will be due, and people are gearing up for the new sports year.  What can we expect to see from the WWE this year?

One thing is for sure, with the recent signing of Bret Hart, we are sure to see something special.  Bret's long awaited return to the WWE has finally become a reality, and most wrestling fans coulnd't be happier.

Over the last few months, we have seen many new stars get pushed to the top of the WWE ladder. 

Sheamus won the WWE title, Drew Mcintyre won the IC title, Kofi is embroiled in a feud with Orton, and CM Punk has won three world titles in his three years with the company.

With WWE pushing all this young talent, it should be a wake up call to the rest of the roster, if you work hard and be as entertaining as possible, then the WWE may just put a belt on you. 

Sheamus, of course, is the exception the the statement about being entertaining.  Take the mic away from that guy.

With TNA stepping up their women's division we could see the WWE start to do the same?  They have some good talent, but they are being wasted.

Mickie James, is great but girls like Gail Kim and The Bellas have a lot to offer and they are being relegated to small roles.

WWE has brought back a few guys, lost a few guys and fired a few guys.  Who will come to the WWE next?  Could RVD make his much anticipated comeback? 

Could we see a possible new Monday night war?  Will the WWE try and buy TNA is they get bigger?  Will Shane McMahon throw his hat into the MMA ring?  The possibilities are endless.

We may even see the end of a show, ECW may end up being cancelled by Syfy due to poor ratings.  WWE is trying to re-brand it, but they may just scrap the failed brand all together.  Hopefully the roster find places on other shows.

All I know is that I will be watching this Jan. 4 to see what both shows have to offer, I would also like to thank the creator of Tivo for making it possible to see both shows in their entirety.
