ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS PEYTON MANNING!
When the news first broke with regards to the whole controversy, who may or may not, be starting during Week 15 in the National Football League, my co-worker and football friend was beyond disappointed about this information.
Why, you ask? You don’t know this, but my friend was just presented with tickets for the New York Jets v. Indianapolis Colts as a holiday gift. The other thing you don’t know is that—let’s call him Kevin is a displaced fan, who currently resides in New York City. He was born and raised on the Indianapolis Colts, yes, you guessed it—he worships the Astroturf Peyton Manning actually walks on, so when Kevin found out that his idol may or may not be playing instantly broke his fragile heart, and to make it worse his favorite sport’s team will be calling plays in his own backyard.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Although, Kevin is disappointed over the Colts decision, he’s more concerned for the young fans, who don’t understand the business-side of the NFL. I say, the glass is still half full: since the Colts, are currently 14-0 and still the only team chasing perfection, this season’s miracle worker, Manning, still has a chance to make an appearance on the 27th of December, and Kevin’s holiday wish could (actually) come true! Again, who knows, but this subject matter makes for great conversation among the football aficionados in our workplace.
Similar to Kevin, I, too have been blessed during this magical time of the year, as I recently received tickets to see the New England Patriots v. Jacksonville Jaguars same day and same time as Kevin’s game; however, I’ll be at Gillette Stadium, (where I hail from) one thing, I do know is that Tom Brady and company won’t disappoint me—well for showing up and actually throwing the football—catching it and making the score count—is a whole other discussion!
Speaking as a Patriots’ enthusiast, and who can identify with all types of emotions while searching for excellence: flawlessness is great; on the other hand, as the saying goes: Nothing is what it seems. So, Coach Caldwell, please take that leap of faith and allow Kevin (and the rest of America) to experience a Christmas miracle at Lucas Oil Stadium, as all they want for Christmas is to see Peyton Manning (and the regular starters) partake in a regular season game. Do you believe in miracles? I do, so drop the ego act, and please…please … please remember that ‘tis the season of magic and dreams coming true. Thank you for reading my plea on behalf of my associate for a merry, merry Christmas!
