Seattle Supersonic Draft Candidates: Brandon Rush

With all this NBA Draft hoopla, I encourage you to check out NBA.com's Draft Pick'em game, the grand prize is a trip to the 2009 All-Star Game. I'm thinking of having a in-blog contest to see who can get the most right and have a little nice prize for the winner :)..but more on that later...

I don't know a whole lot about Brandon Rush, aside from the games I saw him play in the NCAA tournament. So this analysis will be short and sweet.

Rush has a killer jump shot, after watching some video, the release is at a high-point of his jump making it essentially unblockable. He also has great defense, he can move really well and is able to get his hands in people's faces with his freakish wing-span. He has the athleticism and he has the NBA body to be an effective player at the next level. The bottom line is, there aren't a lot of shooting guard and small forward prospects in this draft that can do this.

Conclusion: This is another pick that could fall to the Sonics. But Rush's stock has been rising all the way to the #15 location. If he falls to the Supes, they got to take him, he has one of the most NBA-ready games in the draft...
