Paul Allen Should Clean House

lee springDec 21, 2009

Todd Leiweke better figure something out fast before he loses his position as well. Paul will not tolerate his mistakes for long either. Paul is not one of the richest people for nothing. If you really think about it Paul came in and turned a franchise that was at rock bottom in the nineties to a team that became a team to be reckoned with with Mikes know how of the game.

Leiweke has not followed through with Holmgren a guy that single handed turned this franchise around in a few short years. Holmgren may not have been the greatest as a G.M. but at least he tried along with coaching the team as well, I do not think he did to bad. Critiques may say he was not a good G.M. but who is to say if he was just a G.M. and not coaching at the time that he would have done better? Holmgren turned this team around, and for Leiweke to not be willing to work a little bit harder to get him back is beyond me.

Leiweke is either got something really good up his sleeve, or he is a huge idiot. "Business before pleasure" is the way a business should be ran. If Leiweke had some personnel grudge against Holmgren then communication should have been done to put aside their differences. Holmgren is a winner and a master mind at football, and at a business point of view that is all that should matter. the team still has traces of what Holmgren put together and he could have this team back on track before any other candidate could have, but that is all gone now. With everything that has transpired Leiweke has to have something ingenious up his sleeve or he is just as foolish as Ruskell was.

Another thing to think about is how much money Allen is going to start losing. Seattle has gone from playoff contenders to a rebuild team of the nineties in two years. New football stadium, and a new practice building are not cheap. Tickets will most likely go down in price because of the current team we have. I sure am not going to pay too much to watch them lose to a 1-12 Tampa Bay team. So what is Paul thinking? If I were Leiweke I would feel like I was on the hot seat more than anyone else on the football staff right now.

The thing that should upset Mora is how unprofessional both Leiweke, and Holmgren have been. All of this kind of business should be discussed just like drafts and trades, in the off season. Mora, and Hasselbeck are trying to prepare for a game just to get distracted with the almighty Holmgren, and Leiweke talking about the Seahawks future upstairs. I would have played like crap as well against Tampa Bay with the way the weekend panned out. I am not making any excuses for Hasselbeck but he did play like he was not even in the game. Holmgren, Hasselbecks old boss "may be coming back just to find out he was not," must have been a huge distraction for him. 5 turn overs against a 1-12 team are you kidding me? Seattle's front office is not even concerned about the last three games at hand because they are to worried about themselves and that is why Seattle got a 24-7 ass woo-pin to one of the crappiest teams in the NFL. Allen better get this straightened out soon because one thing I know about the great north west we do not put up with BS too long! Rich or not hire the right people for the job or sell the team to someone that can!
