TOM CABLE Lets Look at Your Legacy With The Raiders

With the end of the Raiders season getting close it's time to look at what needs to be done in the off-season.

When this happens I think that the Raiders need to fire Tom Cable. With almost a full season under his belt. All he has shown is that he doesn't know how to coach. I don't want to talk about his game planning skills, the fact that his own players talk about him giving up on the run game. Or the fact that he likes to call pass plays when we should be running the ball.

For this i just want to look at some of the facts, some of the stats. From this year to last year. ( I know there is 3 games left) But lets take a look anyway.

2008: rushing rank- 10.

2009: rushing rank- 21. NICE PLAY CALLING ( 2007 we were 6th fell 4 spots from  07 to 08. Fell 11 spots with Cable calling plays all year. from 08 to 09)

2008: rushing yards 1,987

2009: rushing yards 1,321(we will need 666 yards in the last 3 games to tie last year.)

2008: 124 yard avg

2009: 101 yard avg

2008: 12 runs of 20 plus yards

2009: 7 runs of 20 plus yards.

2008: 3 runs of 40 yards or more

2009: 1 run of 40 yards or more ( thanks Bush)

Cable is a line coach, he came in with the zone blocking. That we use and with him as the coach full time we are getting worse. The Raiders have falling off in every rushing stat. This was a team that was made to run. In 2007 we went for more then 2000 yards. If he can't even keep our running game on track. How can he get this team on track?

So tell me what do you think, does Cable need to go or am I wrong? I think that Cable wants to be with the Raiders, and he wants to turn the team around i just think  he doesn't know how to do it.
