Duke Shines, Tar Heels Fall: It's Pretty Much a Perfect Saturday
The Duke Blue Devils are about to close out yet another victory over yet another opponent at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
The Garden has been good to the Dukies, and it appears as though it will continue to be a Blue Devil blessing.
Although Mike Krzyzewski’s seventh-ranked Duke basketball team had a slow start (along with Gonzaga shooting ice cold), they played solid hoops down the stretch and really picked up the intensity in the second half en route to the Blue Devils ninth win of the season.

In addition, the second-ranked Texas Longhorns took care of business earlier today in a showdown with the hated UNC Tar Heels (ranked No. 10, at least for now) at the Dallas Cowboys' new stadium.
And, boy, did the Horns put on a show, knocking off Roy Williams' Heels in a 103-90 Texas-sized victory in the Lone Star State.
Thus far, it’s been pretty much a perfect Saturday.
Happy holidays, Cameron Crazies!
Once again, it’s time to celebrate with a big Duke win over another ranked opponent (the Blue Devils blew out the No. 15 Zags 76-41) and a huge Horns victory over those overrated baby blue Heels.
Coach K’s team will now take a 9-1 record into the Christmas break, as Duke returns to the hardwood on Tuesday, Dec. 29 against Long Beach State.
I know we’re only 10 games into the season, and I know it’s only December, but I already can’t wait until March Madness.
The Dukies are true title contenders…
